A team within Google[x] group started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. Project Re-brief by Google

rebrief450

In 2011, Google partnered with four global brands in an advertising experiment. The goal was simple - how can the ideas that defined the advertising industry in its infancy, inspire a whole new generation of creatives and marketers? We re-imagined and remade their most iconic ad campaigns from the 1960's and 1970's with today's technology, led by the creative legends who made these campaigns. Dump the Durries

Here is a guerrilla installment both Jono and I did. It was really fun to do! THE MISSION Develop an unconventional anti-smoking message with a unique, attention grabbing placement. THE IDEA Target people in public toilets, to catch them alone and in an undistracted moment. Repurpose a common object with a cigarette pack motif, using typical tobacco industry imagery, and co-opt the gesture of throwing things away. THE RESULT People noticed, lingered on the visual and internalised the anti-smoking message

Double barrel pistol…WANT

doublebarrell450

We've all heard about double rainbow.....now we have double barrel pistol. I've seen this in a movie somewhere...but can't remember which one... The AF2011-A1 Double Barrel Pistol comes actually as the very first industrial double barrel semiautomatic pistol of all times. The original idea came about ten years back to Swiss armourer Vivian Mueller, who at the time experienced cutting and welding together multiple parts of the famous Sig P210: the result was a long slide, double barrel 9mm, highly decorated collector piece, which indeed shot very well.

Kinect Grocery Cart

kinnectshop450

Grocery shopping can be a nightmare. Gluten-free, low sodium, organic, free-range, peanut free, lactose free… that stuff’s complicated, man. Not to mention, you have to know where to find it all. That may be why Whole Foods is partnering with an Austin-based company called Chaotic Moon to develop a shopping cart that can help you out. The early prototype features integration with Microsoft Kinect. It follows you around the store and scans items as you drop them in, simultaneously checking them off your shopping list and alerting you in case you pick up the wrong version. It’ll even tell you where...
